- Step 1:On your computer, launch Outlook and click on the File option. Select Add Account followed by the Manual Setup/Additional server types option.
- Step 2: Then select POP or IMAP.
- Step 3:Provide your user information by entering your user name and AT&T email address. Now, go to the server information section and complete filling in the information by entering the details in the required fields. Select the account type as IMAP or POP3. If you have selected IMAP, enter the Incoming mail server as imap.mail.att.net and the outgoing mail server as smtp.mail.att.net. If you have chosen the account type as POP3, enter the incoming mail server as inbound.att.net and the outgoing mail server as outbound.att.net.
- Step 4:Complete the login information. Enter the user name as your complete email address and the password as your secure mail key. Then select the checkboxes for Remember Password and Require logon using Security Password Authentication for Att Net Mail Settings for Outlook.
- Step 5:Click on the More Settings option. Select the checkbox next to the My outgoing server requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server options.
- Step 6:Go to the Advance info section. If you have selected the account type as IMAP, enter 993 as the incoming server and if you had chosen the account type as POP3, enter the incoming server as 995.
- Step 7: For both IMAP and POP3 account types, enter the outgoing server as 465. Select the encryption type as SSL for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers.
- Step 8:Finally, click OK followed by Next. Outlook will look over all the provided information and once it passes the account information, click on the Finish button to complete ATT Net Mail Settings For Outlook.
