Are you looking to set up a Bigpond account with other email service providers? Then you must have the mail server settings ready. We got you both Bigpond incoming mail settings and Bigpond Outgoing Mail Settings, so you don't have to search for everything.
Before you set up Bigpond on other email service providers, you must know that Bigpond has been taken over by Telstra. So if you are using old Bigpond settings, then it may not work. We provide you with the updated mail server settings in this article. And, from now on, we call Bigpond as Telstra, so don't get confused.
To set up Telstra mail manually on different email service providers, you will need email server names and port numbers. We hope you are aware of that.
If you are going to use an IMAP account type, the following are the IMAP settings. IMAP synchronizes your email with the mail server, so whatever you do to your mail, like replying, deleting, or marking it as read, will be updated on all your devices.
After entering all the above Bigpond Outgoing Mail settings, ensure that 'Outgoing server requires authentication' is ticked.
Unlike IMAP, POP does not sync your email with the email server, so whatever you do to your email, like deleting, replying, or marking it as read, will only be applied on that device.
Once you have entered the POP settings, check if you have ticked 'Outgoing server requires authentication.'
Hope you got the Bigpond outgoing mail settings you were searching for. In case you have any doubts while setting up your account manually, let us know.
