A Spam or Junk email is an email that is sent out in bulk to multiple recipients. These kinds of emails come with a malicious link attached that can harm your computer or phone in many ways. Basically, spam emails are sent only for commercial purposes. However, they are dangerous in nature.
Purpose of spam email
The main purpose of spam email is to make more profit. Compared to physical mail, sending bulk emails are cheaper and easier.
When you access an unauthorized website or subscribe to an untrusted service, you will start receiving spam emails. To get rid of emails, unsubscribe to the service that you have subscribed to by clicking the Unsubscribe link or button available in the same email or block the email address/ sender. Popular email service providers like Gmail, Yahoo!, Outlook, etc., use a filter algorithm to find and block spam or junk emails. You can also mark the spam emails manually to block them from entering into your account in the future. The below section explains how to block spam emails.
