- Step 1:In case you have added an alternative email address or phone number to your Yahoo mail account, you can reset the account password using the Yahoo Password Helper tool.
- Step 2:Go to the Yahoo Password Helper page from your web browser.
- Step 3:Select the I have a problem with my password option to reset the password. Then, click Next.
- Step 4:Enter the username of your Yahoo mail account in the Yahoo ID section and click Next.
- Step 5:You can now select your alternative email address or phone number to reset the password.
- Step 6:If you have access to the alternative email address, select the Send an email option.
- Step 7:If you don’t have access to the alternative email, you can select the send a text message option.
- Step 8:Enter the verification code that you received on your phone number and click Next.
- Step 9:To recover from the alternative email address, log in to your email account from your browser.
- Step 10:Open the email message from Yahoo and click on the verification link.
- Step 11:You can follow the on-screen instructions to reset the password and Can’t Sign into Yahoo Mail Forgot Security Question.
- Step 12:Ensure that the password you choose must have at least eight characters that include an upper case letter, lower case letter, numbers, and symbols.
- Step 13:Once you are logged in to your Yahoo mail account, go to My Services page.
- Step 14:Click the Profile icon and select the My Profile section.
- Step 15:Navigate to the Account Security section and click on the Reset link under Security Questions.
- Step 16:Click Continue to receive the verification code on your phone number.
- Step 17:Enter the verification code and click on the Verify button.
- Step 18:Now, choose the Security questions and type their answers. Then, click Save.
- Step 19:The security questions will now be changed for your Yahoo mail account.
