- Step 1:Turn on your Windows computer.
- Step 2:Connect it to the Internet.
- Step 3:Open Outlook on your computer.
- Step 4:Click on the File option from the top of the page.
- Step 5:Choose Info from the left panel and click on the Account Settings button.
- Step 6:From the drop-down menu, select the Account Settings option.
- Step 7:In the following window, click on the Email option and select New.
- Step 8:The Choose Service window pops up on the screen.
- Step 9:Click on the Email Account option and then click Next.
- Step 10:Select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next to continue Comcast email settings for Outlook.
- Step 11:The POP and IMAP Account Settings window appears on the screen.
- Step 12:Make sure that you provide your name and Xfinity email address in the respective fields.
- Step 13:You can choose POP or IMAP from the drop-down menu in the Account Type field.
- Step 14:We recommend you select IMAP.
- Step 15:Provide imap.comcast.net in the Incoming mail server field and smtp.comcast.net in the Outgoing mail server field.
- Step 16:Make sure that your Xfinity ID has been automatically filled in the Username field under the Logon Information section.
- Step 17:Provide your Xfinity password in the Password field and continue to do the Comcast email settings for Outlook.
- Step 18:Click More Settings, and it will lead you to the Internet Email Settings screen.
- Step 19:Click on the Outgoing Server section.
- Step 20:Make sure that you select the My Outgoing Server requires authentication checkbox.
- Step 21:Choose Use same settings as my incoming mail server and click on the Advanced section.
- Step 22:Type 993 in the Incoming server field and choose SSL from the drop-down menu in the Encrypted connection field.
- Step 23:After entering the above details, type 587 in the Outgoing server field and TLS in the Encrypted connection field.
- Step 25:Now, the POP and IMAP Account Settings screen will appear.
- Step 27:Now, Outlook will perform a test on the account settings.
- Step 28:Once completed, click Close.
