Synchronizing your email using IMAP:

At first, activate the IMAP feature in your GMX mail account.

Choosing an account type:

• step 3: You need to select the Connect option. After selecting it, choose the account type, which is IMAP.

The IMAP Account Settings dialog box appears now.

In the dialog box, enter the following details:

Incoming mail server: imap.gmx.com

Outgoing mail server: mail.gmx.com

Port number for both the servers as given below.

Incoming: 993

Outgoing: 587

Encryption method

Incoming: SSL/TLS

Outgoing: STARTTLS

After filling in the details in the required fields, click the blue Connect button at the bottom of the window to complete the GMX outlook settings.

• step 5: In the login dialog box, you can enter your email address and password.
• step 6: Select the checkbox next to Save the password in your password list.
