- Step 1:On your computer, launch the Outlook email client app. Based on the version you are currently using, navigate to the Tools or File menu.
- Step 2:The next step will be to open Account Settings.
- Step 3:Now, click the Email tab and then choose the New option.
- Step 4:You will see the New E-mail Account dialog box on the screen. Select the checkbox next to the Manually configure server settings… option (if you are using Outlook 2007 or 2010). Click on the Next button.
- Step 5:You can now go to the User Information section and enter your name. This name will be displayed in all of your outgoing email messages. Then, type in your full email address.
- Step 6:Under Server Information, choose the POP3 option.
- Step 7:In the Incoming Mail Server box, type the incoming mail server address of your roadrunner email account as pop-server.san.rr.com or pop-server.roadrunner.com.
- Step 8:Always use the server that matches your email address. In case you are using email@san.rr.com or email@roadrunner.com, make use of the server accordingly.
- Step 9:In the Outgoing Mail Server box, enter smtp-server.san.rr.com or smtp-server.roadrunner.com. Here again, make use of the server that matches your email address.
- Step 10:In the User Name field, type your complete Road Runner email address.
- Step 11:In the Password field, type your email account password. Then, select the checkbox next to the Remember password option. By selecting this option, you can ensure that you don’t have to type in the password each time you access your emails.
- Step 12:Now, click on the Test Account Settings button. Wait for Outlook to send you a test message. You will be able to see this message in your Road Runner Inbox.
- Step 14:Finally, click on Next followed by the Finish button to finish the setup.
