- Step 1: Click on Tools in Windows server and select Internet Information Service (IIS) 6.0 Manager.
- Step 2: THE IIS will open up a window.
- Step 3: You will see the option SMTP virtual server.
- Step 4: Right-click the option and click on properties.
- Step 5: In the SMTP virtual properties, select the general tab.
- Step 6: Click the checkbox Enable logging.
- Step 7: Click the Access tab and make sure TLS is checked off.
- Step 8: Open the authentication tab and click the checkbox Anonymous Access.
- Step 9: After performing the actions, go back to the Access tab and click the Connection button.
- Step 10: Select the computer that has access to the virtual server.
- Step 11: The SMTP server tab opens, click the messages tab.
- Step 12: Make sure all the checkboxes are checked.
- Step 13: Set the email address to send a copy of the report, click Apply.
- Step 14: Open the Delivery tab and set the entry-level in minutes.
- 1. First entry: 15
- 2. Second entry: 30
- 3. Third entry: 60
- 4. Subsequent retry level: 240
- Step 15: Click Apply and OK.
- Step 16: Under outbound security, click the Anonymous access radio button. Click Apply.
- Step 17: In the Advanced delivery option, enter the address in the Fully qualified domain name field.
- Step 18: Click the Check DNS button to see if the domain name is available.

- Step 20: Smtp.office365.com
- Step 21: Once set up, you can send a test mail to check if the connection was successful.
