How To Set Up Outlook On Windows 10

Microsoft Outlook is one of the email clients that can manage multiple email accounts. In general, Outlook is included with Microsoft Office 365. To know how to set up Outlook on Windows 10, follow the quick steps given below.

  • Step 1:On your Windows 10 computer, launch the Outlook app by double-clicking its shortcut icon on the desktop.
  • Step 2:If this is the first-time setup, you will be asked to create a new profile.
  • Step 3:Enter a profile name and click OK.
  • Step 4:Next, type your email address in the text field and click the Connect button.
  • Step 5:Now, Outlook will try to connect to your mailbox.
  • Step 6:Enter your email password in the required field and click OK.
  • Step 7:When the setup is complete, you will get a confirmation message.
  • Step 8:Click OK on the message and check your mailbox contents.
  • Step 9:To add another email account, click the File menu available at the top-left corner.
  • Step 10:Select the Info option from the left-side panel and click the Add Account button.
  • Step 11:In the Add Account window, select the Email Account option and fill in the Your Name, Email Address, Password, and Retype Password fields.
  • Step 12:Click the Next button and wait until Outlook configures the mail server settings automatically.
  • Step 13:If you wish to configure a POP or IMAP account, select the Manual setup or additional server types option and click Next.
  • Step 14:Choose the POP or IMAP option and click the Next button.
  • Step 15:Configure both the incoming and outgoing mail server settings.
  • Step 16:Make sure to enter the correct email address and password in the required fields.
  • Step 17:Click the More Settings button and head to the Outgoing server tab.
  • Step 18:Select the My outgoing server required authentication option and move to the Advanced tab.
  • Step 19:Input the server ports for both the incoming and outgoing servers and select SSL as the encryption type.
  • Step 20:Click OK and test the configured account settings by clicking the Test Account Settings button.
