- Step 1:Log into your QuickBooks desktop account.
- Step 2:Click the Edit tab from the homepage at the top-left corner of the screen.
- Step 3:Select the Preferences option; it will lead to a new page.
- Step 4:Click the Send Forms tab in the left panel.
- Step 5:Now get ready to set up your AOL email account on QuickBooks Desktop; for this, select the WebMail radio button in the main panel.
- Step 6:Click the Add button to move to the next window.
- Step 7:Enter the AOL email address in the Email ID field.
- Step 8:Choose the AOL option from the Email Provider drop-down menu.
- Step 9:To proceed with setting up AOL email on QuickBooks, type smtp.aol.com in the Server Name field.
- Step 10:Type 465 or 587 in the Port field.
- Step 11:Select the SSL checkbox.
- Step 12:If you want to set up a secure account, select the checkbox beside the Use Enhanced Security option.
- Step 13:Set a strong and complex password. You can deselect this checkbox if you see any Network Error.
- Step 14:Click the OK button in the Edit Email Info window. This will take you back to the Preferences window.
- Step 15:Your AOL server name and the port has been set up for the QuickBooks, and your email should be working now. Check to send and receive a test mail.
- Step 16:For manual setup, click the OK button in the main panel to finish the AOL email account setup in QuickBooks Desktop.
