HOW TO SETUP K9 MAIL LOGIN?

The K-9 Mail application is an open-source email client ideal for Android phone users. INSTALL K-9 MAIL, ADD YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT, LOG IN

Step 1:On your smartphone, open the Play Store application.

Step 2:Search for K-9 Mail.

Step 3:Click on the correct option from the search results and click the Install button.

Step 4:When prompted, give access to K-9 Mail by clicking Accept.

Step 5:Open the application and click Next on the Welcome screen.

Step 6:When the Set up a new account screen displays, enter your email address and password and click Next. If you want to see the characters you are typing, tap the eye icon.

Step 7:Select the account type you prefer. Tap either POP3 or IMAP.

Step 8:IMAP leaves your emails on the server so that you can access your emails across various devices. Whereas POP keeps your emails on the device on which you have downloaded your emails.

Step 9:On the Incoming server settings screen, you need to enter the incoming server details of your email.

Step 10:Select the security type as SSL/TLS.

Step 11:If you select IMAP, enter the port number as 993. For POP accounts, enter the port number as 995.

Step 12:Enter your email address in the Username field and your password in the Authentication field.

Step 13:Configure the other preferences and click Next.

Step 14:Now, you have to configure your outgoing server settings.

Step 15:Select the security type as SSL/TLS and enter the port number as 465.

Step 16:Now, input your email address and password in the Username and Authentication fields.

Step 17:That's it. You have configured your email account in the K-9 email client. Similarly, you can add all your email accounts to the K-9 email client.

Step 18:Give a name for the email account you have configured and click Done.
