Solution 1: Check the Internet/Network Connection

Step 1:On your Android phone, turn on and off the cellular data.

Step 2:If you have connected your phone to a wireless network, check the Wi-Fi connection.

Step 3:Enable and disable the Airplane mode to restart your network connection.

Step 4:If necessary, reset the network settings.

Step 5:To do so, launch the Settings app by touching the Settings icon on the applications screen.

Step 6:Tap the System or General Management button in the Settings window.

Step 7:Next, tap the Reset button.

Step 8:Select the Reset network settings option.

Step 9:If you are prompted to confirm the reset, tap the Yes button.

Solution 2: Remove & Re-add your Roadrunner Email Account

Step 1:Navigate to Settings and tap the Passwords & Accounts button.
Step 2:Select the Roadrunner email account and tap the Delete Account button.
Step 3:Once the account is removed, open the Mail app to add it again.
Step 4:Enter your Roadrunner email address and tap the Next button.
Step 5:Select the Personal POP3 option and tap Next.
Step 6:Enter your Roadrunner email account’s password and tap the Next button.
Step 7:Under the Incoming Server section, enter your full email address in the Username field.
Step 81:Enter your Roadrunner account’s password in the Password field.
Step 9:Type the incoming mail server name in the Server field.
Step 10:Enter port number 110 and select None in the Security type field.
Step 11:Under Outgoing Server, enter the outgoing mail server name in the Server field.
Step 12:Enter 587 in the Port field and select None as your Security type.
Step 13:Fill up the rest of the account details and save the configured settings.
Step 14:Next, open the Mail app and choose your Roadrunner email account.
Step 15:Finally, send a test email from your email account to check whether the Roadrunner email unable to connect to server problem has been resolved.
