- Step 1:Click the Apple menu and select the System Preferences from the list.
- Step 2:If you don't have an iCloud account already set up on the Mac computer, click the iCloud icon and create a new account.
- Step 3:Enter a username for your iCloud account and click OK.
- Step 4:Follow the instructions on the screen to create the iCloud account.
- Step 5:If you already have an iCloud account, select the Internet Accounts option to create a new account.
- Step 6:Then, click iCloud. Since you don't have an ID, click on the Create Apple ID to start a new account.
- Step 7:Choose your Birthday month, day, and year from the drop-down lists. Then, click Next.
- Step 8:Type your name in the box indicated for it.
- Step 9:Type a new email address, which will be your Apple ID. If your email address is already taken, choose a unique email address.
- Step 10:Choose a strong password for the Apple ID. Then, type it in the password section. Reenter the password for verification purposes.
- Step 11:Make sure the password you choose has an upper case and lower letter, a special character, and a number.
- Step 12:If you want promotional emails from Apple, checkmark the Announcements section. Then, click Next.
- Step 13:To verify your identity, choose three security questions and enter the answer for each question.
- Step 14:If you forgot your password, you will be asked these security questions to recover your account.
- Step 15:Read and agree with the terms and conditions of the software. Then, checkmark the "I agree" section and click Agree.
- Step 16:Your iCloud email account will be added to the Mac computer.
