Fixed: Thunderbird Email Error Log
To resolve the Thunderbird email error log problem, carry out the simple troubleshooting steps mentioned here.
Email account configuration:
- Step 1:Check if the server settings are correct.
- Step 2:Start the Thunderbird email client, click the Tools tab, and select the Account Settings option.
- Step 3:Select the Server Settings section on the left panel and check if the information in the following fields are entered correctly.
- Step 7:If needed, delete the email and add it again automatically or manually.
Log POP, IMAP, and SMTP Traffic:
Windows:
- Step 1: Hold the Win and X keys together on your Windows computer and then choose the Command Prompt option.
- Step 2: Type the ‘set NSPR_LOG_MODULES= POP3:4, SMTP:4’ command in the Command Prompt window and press Enter.
- Step 3: If you use type IMAP:4 instead of POP3:4.
- Step 4: Enter ‘set NSPR_LOG_FILE=%HOMEDRIVEE%%HOMEPATH%\Desktop\tbird_log.txt’ without the single quotes.
- Step 5: Enter ‘start thunderbird’ without including the single quotes and perform your desired email actions in the Mozilla Thunderbird email client.
- Step 6: Finally, quit the Thunderbird application and open tbird_log.txt.
- Step 7: This will turn on the log traffic.
- Step 8: You need not disable it separately, this session will end once you close the Command Prompt window.
