Thunderbird Exchange Imap Settings
- Step 1:Thunderbird usually uses an account wizard set up and configure all your email accounts and thunderbird exchange Imap settings.
- Step 2:Right from the moment you launch your application, the account wizard will start running.
- Step 3:You can choose to skip the existing mail.
- Step 4:There are times when the action wizard does not start up on time, and you always have the option to choose it from Settings > Account Settings > Account Actions > Add Mail account.
Once the Wizard is open, it is time to set up your Thunderbird account to read the Exchange mail.
- Step 1:In the Mail Account Setup window, enter the following credentials
- Your name - The name you want the receiver to see.
- Email address - Enter your email address.
- Password - Enter the password to your email address.
- Step 2:Click Continue once entered.
- Step 3:You can now perform a Mail Setup to your Thunderbird account.
- Step 4:Select the IMAP option from the Account Setup Window
- Step 5:Enter Imap.exchange.com as the incoming server in the “Server name” field.
- Step 6:Ensure that the Port number is set to 993.
- Step 7:Select SSL/TLS.
- Step 8:Make sure you enter your ‘username’ in the field.
- Step 9:Set a password for authentication.
- Step 10:The next window will be the Outgoing server.
- Step 11:In the server hostname field, enter mail-relay.exchange.com
- Step 12:Set the outgoing port to 587. Select the STARTTLS in the SSL box.
- Step 13:Set a standard password for authentication.
- Step 14:Click Done once you have entered the details.
- Step 15:You can now monitor Microsoft Exchange mail on Mozilla thunderbird exchange Imap settings.
