How To Configure Yahoo Mail Settings For Android?
Yahoo Mail is a leading web-based email service that allows you to access your email account from a desktop email client or a mobile phone email app using the IMAP and SMTP protocols. To configure the Yahoo email settings for Android, follow the below steps.
Incoming Mail Server (IMAP):
- step 1 : Server name: imap.mail.yahoo.com
- step 2 : Server port number: 993
- step 3 : Security type: SSL
- step 4 : Email address: Yahoo email address
- step 5 : Password: Yahoo email account password
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
- step 1 : Server name: smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Steps To Add The Yahoo Email Account In The Email App:
- step 1 : On your Android phone, touch the Email icon on the applications screen to open the Email app.
- step 2 : In the Email app, tap the Settings icon at the top-right corner.
- step 3 : Under Accounts, tap the Add account button.
- step 4 : Tap Others from the list of email service providers.
- step 5 : Enter your Yahoo email address and the password in the required fields.
- step 6 : Tap the Manual setup button and select the IMAP account option as your account type.
- step 7 : Under Account, enter your email address, name, and password in the required fields and proceed to configure the Yahoo Mail IMAP settings. Input the correct details to have your Yahoo email account set up on your Android phone.
- step 8 : In the Incoming server section, input the incoming mail server name, security type, and server port number.
- step 9 : Under the Outgoing server section, enter the outgoing mail server name, security type, and server port number.
- step 10 : Tap Next and specify the email sync period.
- step 11 : Select the Require sign-in checkbox, if applicable.
- step 12 : Finally, enter the name you wish to use for your Yahoo Mail and then tap Done.
